As the founder of Alya Doula Services, I am extremely passionate about providing families with love, care and support throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
I have a daughter, and with her birth, my perspective towards births – women and babies has changed. After experiencing firsthand how lonely and unsupported women are in birth settings, I felt a deep sense of duty to be a part of the change in both prenatal, postnatal and infant care. I received a series of trainings to be supportive.
My approach is simple, I encourage mothers and birth partners to trust biology and physiology. The human body is truly a wonderful vessel, every cell has a meaning and purpose, and that applies to pregnancy, birth, caring for your newborn and beyond. Our aim is to provide gentle and holistic support to families, with a focus on educating parents about parenting and helping them achieve a positive birth so they can start this exciting journey fully informed and confident.
